Implementation of State Plan Referral Pilot

Effective October 30, 2023, Region VIII's Whistleblower Protection Program (WPP) will formally adopt the State Plan Referral Pilot created by the Region V, Directive Number, CPL 04-05-2407. This twelve-month State Plan Referral Pilot (herein referred to as "the Pilot") allows Federal OSHA to refer State Plan whistleblower complaints without inputting a duplicative complaint into OIS. The pilot applies to both State Plans in Region VIII, Wyoming and Utah.

This Pilot will be thoroughly discussed with the Region VIII WPP investigators and both State Plans upon implementation. At the midway and endpoint, the results of the pilot will be evaluated and shared with DWPP. The Pilot expires on October 29, 2024.
